    Vanilla cake is a classic dessert loved by people all over the world. This is a simple yet delicious cake that can be enjoyed alone or with different kind of toppings and frostings.     To make Vanilla Cake, first we have to make batter. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl and mix well. Add melted butter to it and mix well. Add vanilla essence and milk and mix well till a smooth thick batter is formed.

    The batter is poured into a cake pan that is greased with oil or dusted with flour and baked in oven. Check by inserting a toothpick in the center of the cake, if the toothpick comes out clean then the cake is baked. Cool the cake to room temperature. Once the cake is cooled, it can be decorated with whipped cream or frosting.

    Vanilla cake can be made in different shapes. It can be baked in round or square cake pans, or any other shape pan, you can even bake it in cupcake or mini cake pans for individual servings.

    Vanilla cake can be served as it is, or you can also use it as a great base with different flavored frostings. Cake can be turned into a completely different dessert by adding chocolate chips, fruit, or nuts. Frosting for cakes can be of various flavors and colors to match the occasion.

    Vanilla Cake Ingredients

    Refined Flour (Maida)2 1/4 CupSugar1 1/3 Cup
    Egg2 PcBaking Powder1 Tablespoon
    Salt1/2 TeaspoonButter1/2 Cup
    Vanilla Essence1 TeaspoonMilk1 Cup
    SprinklesFor Decoration  

    Direction To Make

    • Take a large bowl and pour refined flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in it. Mix them well.
    • Add a small amount of butter to the flour and mix with beater for 30 seconds to 1 minute or until the butter is well mixed with the flour. In this way, add all the butter and mix well. 
    • Add vanilla essence and mix again and then add milk and mix well with beater for about a minute.
    • Add one egg and mix it well then add another egg and mix again. Mix it for 30 seconds or until it becomes fluffy.
    • Heat the microwave for a minute.
    • Meanwhile the microwave is heating up. Take 2 microwave safe flat bottom round bowls and grease them with some butter and some refined flour on the walls and bottom so that the mixture does not stick to the bowl.
    • Pour equal mixture in that 2 bowls.
    • Bake the mixture in the microwave for about 30 - 35 minutes or until properly baked. Check if the cake is well baked with a toothpick. Insert the toothpick in the center and take out if the toothpick is as clean as before it means the cake is well baked. The golden brown color will also tell you that the cake is baked. Start checking a little early so that the cake will not over cooked.
    • Take out the cake and cool to room temperature, the cake will be spongy when touched. Take out the cake from the bowl and cool at room temperature for an hour before frosting.
    • Now it's time to frosting the cake, take a cake and spread a thick layer of whipped cream over it. Place another cake on top of it, then spread the whipped cream over it.
    • You can also apply a layer of whipped cream on the side of the cake.
    • Decorate your delicious cake with sprinkles. Delicious spongy vanilla cake is ready. Cut the cake and enjoy.

    Notes

    You can also use chocolate syrup to decorate your cake. This will add more flavor to the cake.
